Speed issue with Raid 0

ragepaw
Level 7
My system has the following specs

Zenith Extreme with 1950x Threadripper
128Gb Ram
8 x Samsung Evo 960 nvme drives in Raid 0
2 Asus Hyper 16x Cards

Currently I have the 2 Hyper cards full up with all 8 drives, but I have tried various combinations of drives on the board and DIMM card, but it's not much faster than a single drive. It works, it boots, everything looks normal, it's just not as fast as it should be. It's averaging around 4500-4800 MB/Sec.

I have what looks like the same config as the der8auer video, but I'm just not getting anywhere near the speed.

I'm running out of things to try and I could use some ideas.

No AI Suite - That key doesn't exist, I checked
Re-created array with 128k stripe
I couldn't get magician to see more than one drive from the bootable USB, I used disk-part and wiped the drives and partitions; Re-initialized in RaidXpert bios utility.

Interesting results ... makes me think the benchmarks are also wonky ....

It's fast, its snappy in use, like to feel like I got what I could out of it ...

The Magician Secure Erase Tool only works with the lowest M.2 Slot on the Hyper Card - it doesn't recognize the other slots - as if the Slot would be in x16 and not in x4/x4/x4/x4 mode.
I noticed that when I initialized the disks in the Raidxpert setup, the performance of the array seems worse. I then turned them to legacy and then had to delete them in the array management because they were recognized as part of the array. Then I created the new array. I can't tell why but I tested this two or three times. I know it sounds a little weird...
When you once have installed the Asus RamCache Software, the 4k performance of the array gets worse as well if it is not configured but just installed.

I am just wondering if you found a solution.

When I set up my kit, with dual Samsung 980 Pro NVMe on RAID 0 in order to provide me with RW bandwidth of around 10GB/s everything worked fine - see picture here from the magician:

A few days later my write speed has decreased from over 10GB/s to less than 3 GB/s

In the meantime I haven't done anything else than to add AMD latest drivers for RAID and the Chipset tools.

But even after removing all the tools I see no improvement in the performance.

One thing that I noticed is that in my bios the driver of the RAID controller, appears to be the 9.2.0-00127 version, whereas on my windows I have the latest 9.3 version.

I do not know how to update the RAID driver version on Bios. Even the latest BIOS update does not seem to contain the 9.3 driver.

Any ideas about this issue will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.
