Before installing the CPU be sure and use some magnification to verify the pin alignment and configuration is in near perfect alignment.
I failed to do this and was not able to post with Ballistix Elite DDR4-2666 RAM 8x 8gb RAM installed. This memory is on the QVL. It would post with 4 sticks but not anymore than that. I am going to try for an RMA on this board as it came to me from the vendor without the three NVME standoffs and screw; also has a very small loose screw floating around on the motherboard. Still waiting on Barrow water cooling fittings.
