That's the resizeable BAR BIOS, but there seem to be many undocumented changes between these BIOS's. For example my ram kit didn't work before 901. Also side note, anyone else notice on these bios's that their RAM runs about 10% faster across the board when "MRC fast boot" is set to disabled? Takes 2 minutes to reboot, but worth it. Seems like a bug, no? Seems like there are hidden memory training parameters that don't get saved and used in "Auto" mode. Perhaps @Shamino will notice.

Hey Shamino

What comes next after Bios 1002 for Z490-E Gaming?

Regards

Hi Shamino,

How could I test the BAR in the new 1002 BIOS?

Tx.

Flow Chart to visualize the decision-making process of the processor for Voltage and Frequency. Obviously the evaluation is continuously looping and the V and F flows are intertwined, ie you can imagine the Frequency flow continues into the voltage flow. Not exactly so, but close enough for comprehension.

Hi Shamino,

I'm running
53x3, 52x5, 51x8, 50x10
+2Boost_OCTVB
SVID=trained
LLC=4
Adaptive = 1.460v
Ring down bin = Enable
Max=47
Min=AUTO

So, can I set ring to 49 and the logic will down the ring multiplier automatically if voltage is low?

it should already do this by what i see in ur setting

I changed MAX ring to 48x and start testing...

By the way, MAX STRESS is causing problems to my system.
I understand MAX STRESS limit VID to 1.500v, correct?
If I enable it, i don't have VID>1.499, but I experience freezing...

it is not a fixed limit, it depends on load as well.
my guess is that it clips frequency at times to a frequency point you have not validated much at, and the resultant vid at that point may be too low.

If I let "VMAX STRESS = AUTO" is it enabled? I think the default "AUTO" is disabled . Am I right?

By the way Ring 48x is fine with +2Boost_OCTVB. 49x crashed.
