I have recently acquired a Z390-E gaming for cheap in order to try and fix it for fun and self education.
Upon visual inspection, the socket, and the whole motherboard are in pristine conditions, no damage visible anywhere at all.
yet when i plug it in and put the minimu amount of stuff in order to boot it up for testing, i do not get any reaction whatsoever. for reference i added :
- a 550w PSU
- an NVME drive with a fresh install of windows and come software such as CPUID and HWMonitor
-one stick of RAM (that i moved into all 4 slots, same results no matter where)
- an I3 9100f cpu
- a GT710
I am pretty perplexed by the lack of results, and suspecting invisible damage on the mobo such as a broken chip somewhere.
any tips or advice ?
