Z390-f and EVGA P5 psu

Pyeeater
Level 7

Just installed a new P5 psu and it will not boot.  The following scenarios happen

Plug the EATX12V into either CPU2 or CPU1 8 pin ports on the PSU, no lights on the MB , will not switch on.

Leave the EATX12V unplugged from the psu, power switch on the tower works, all the led's turn on, gpu fans start, no action from the mb itself.

Instruction manual says do not forget to plug in the EATX12V or the system will not boot.

Am i hitting compatibility issues?

Hello pyeeater,

Please confirm you have one 8-pin cpu power cable and the 24-pin main power cable connected.

Make sure you have your monitor connected as well.

How are you coming along?
