Which audio jack for single 3.5mm jack for audio/mic?

I have these headphones:

I also have the maximus X hero (ac-wifi) latest bios.

They are a single 3.5mm jack with audio/mic on one cable. How do I get the microphone to work? I'm plugging them into the front panel at the moment but the rear jacks give no better results. Is this a software issue?

When I go into the realetek settings, I see only options for headphones or front speakers out, no headset option.

Anyone have any solutions?
