I have an issue with my audio driver since it keeps crashing when using ASIO.
The listed Realtek driver for my Mainboard Hero XI is 6.0.1.8666 which is over half a year old while I can find much newer versions on the internet.
For example on Computer Base Version 6.0.8854.1 or from Lenovo Version 6.0.8777.1.
But all of those are supposedly for specific models and vary widely in size (from 30 MB to 400 MB).
So, can anyone tell me where I can get newer Realtek drivers that will work with my Hero XI that the one offered by ASUS?
Thank you for your help!

I treid version 6.0.8896.1 from windows update but sadly it did not fix my issues. I guess it's not realtek's fault then...
Meanwhile there seems to be version 6.0.8904.1 available. I guess I'll try than one later on.
Thank you all very much for your help!

try clean uninstall that all problems you got because you keep install some modded drivers some are even not WHQL besides 8781 is asus newest official driver dont use nonofficial driver it might be kill your board so don't caught to scams other sites they all modded and unofficial drivers asus not guarantee for anything you use beside them
this is the site for example https://forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/update-realtek-high-definition-audio.72236/page-74 they provide modded unofficial drivers asus will not guarantee anything but if you like take risk you can use it no problemo 😄 and that modded drivers also not support win10 updates too if you try run windows updates its not update itself

I only installed drivers available on the windows update catalog from https://forums.laptopvideo2go.com/topic/24364-latest-realtek-audio-codecs/page/41/.
Do these really not get updated?

Once you know what the chip is the latest drivers can be found on Realtek site or station drivers.*

From where precisely do you download your new drivers from Realtek? Do you mean this site? Because all the drivers there are 3 years old...
When I search in google "ALC1220 site:realtek.com" I get two results which do not contain "ALC1220" it is like it doesn't even exist...
Since the newer driver didn't fix my issue anyway, I think I'll just stick with whichever driver Asus puts up for my board.

You have to keep in mind that that chip is not exactly the newest out there. Last driver I can find on Sation Drivers is Nov 2018 6.0.1.8549
