Usb problems

In addition to this thread I have already made about the audio issues on my z370, I am now experiencing a whole new problem with my z370's audio.

https://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?97459-Audio-Popping-Issue-z370-F

After keeping my computer on for days, generally, and while gaming or watching a movie where the audio is actually being used, the audio renders a loud pop and then fails. I have to completely restart the PC in order to get the audio working again.

I say generally it takes days because I had it just fail after 30 minutes of playing something on VLC after a fresh restart which prompted this post.

I use a Schiit stack. On my ASRock board, I never once had this issue. As I am using a Schiit Stack, I think it might actually be a problem with the USB ports or something because I do not even have the motherboard audio drivers installed.

What is going on?

X HERO definitely has USB problems. Might be the case for yours also.
When powered on after PSU was switched off, my keyboard lights will not turn on. I need to unplug the keyboard and plug it back to fix it.
Randomly, my APC UPS connected via USB will not be recognized after reboot.. I need to unplug it and plug it back to make it work.
Getting Asus do to something about it is wishful thinking. Acknowledging the problem even more so.

I haven't owned another ASUS motherboard since '08. Because of other issues with their high end Gene-Z motherboard I experienced. I was talked out of it this time. I should have listened to my gut feeling and went with an ASRock again. Never once did I ever have an issue with them.

My keyboard and rift do the same thing randomly. Same solution too.

So more than likely, what's happening to my speakers is the same thing that is happening to your KB's, huh?

All manufacturers have their problem. Asrock not excluded.
And lately it seems most of them view us, their clients, as beta testers 🙂
Just open a ticket with Asus and maybe you get lucky.

Title changed to something more accurate, and removed expletive/unsubstantiated sentence. Keep things on point, please.

Whoever you contact to deal with this from the service department, be sure to supply all relevant info. They wont be able to look at much without it. Include all devices plugged into the board, which ports they are plugged into, driver and firmware versions for all plugged in devices, the board, uefi, and driver versions, os version used, and info on whether the issue occurs when the system is running at (complete) stock or if it only occurs if overclocked.

What's the point in having a community forum if you do not take the info that we provide to your team? I came here thinking that this was the case because I saw actual ASUS reps talking with the community. I didn't think you would tell me to make a ticket that won't be responded to for 3 months at a time. Might as well close this forum down and have us post on Reddit then.

As I said, whoever you contact will need the info I cited above. If you're not going to provide it, nothing will happen no matter who you contact. They will need all relevant info to replicate the problem.

This is primarily an end user to end user discussion forum. There are support portals for outright support. Seeing as some of the posts were mentioning contacting support, its apt to point out they will need a lot more info than is being provided here.
