My 9700k at 5ghz all cores OC is now not working with this bios, Errors OCCT almost within a few mins, can do multiple hours with previous bios.

Why is Asus always messing things up with their bios's? Time for a change of brand I think.86798

I've had issues with this bios and my Z390-E, my ram clocks won't work from before, even when lowering ram speed and no CPU overclock. It's as if the board can't train RAM properly.

Feel you mate, I just can't get my ram at 3600 anymore with this bios, Backed it off to stock and passed all tests it wouldn't before, I'm debating whether to flash the bios back, I really don't know what Asus is playing at, No mention of anything about RAM in the bios description.

I left my CPU overclock and that was ok it was the RAM causing all the errors on OCCT and almost an instant BSOD on Prime95, Doesn't help Asus doesn't tell us what the hell they're changing in the bios.

I have no issues with my 36000mhz Ram and no issues with my CPU with this bios 1704. OC to 5 GHZ.

Is that ram rated for 3600 or is that OC'd?

Mines OC'd from 3000 to 3600 on all previous bios's but not this one, It's bsodding instantly with Prime95 blend.

Z-390 XI Code with 9900 ks @ 5.2 ghz / 4.8 ring / 8 gb x 4 @ 4133 17-17-17-37 with tight rtl/iol does 61.5 k read / 63.6 k write / 60.1 k copy / 37.5 ns latency in adia 64
it took me over 19 reboots to train rtl/iol aligned properly !

this bios is fine so is 1502 and 1602 check your rtl/iols ram training guys 🙂

Thanks for that, I've no idea where i'm going wrong here, I'm using the exact same timings as the last previous few bios's, I'll do a board reset and try again.

Suggestions on settings? I did have some RTL settings manually adjusted, but even on Auto I couldn't get it to post...

If you have RAM related problems while overclocked or using XMP with the new BIOS, I had similar using the last BIOS, I fixed mine by going to MEMORY TIMINGS and PRESET = MODE 2
Cheers

Thanks for that, I've dropped my ram back down to 3200 for now, I'll give that a go when I get a moment, Thanks.

It is the best bios I've ever had.
