SOLVED: Reset of CMOS

ORIGINAL POST:

Used my PC yesterday, shutdown. It sat there with it's onboard decorative LEDs on since...

I press the power button today, and... The power button lit up for a small time, as did the other decorative LEDs, and the fans spun for a moment... before they went off again and just the 'turned off' LEDs were illuminated.

None of the error LEDs light up. If I reset the power, I can repeat the above (things appear to try to turn on, then don't). Nothing ever shows on the screen.

PSU, even though everything appears to be working/trying to work? Or the motherboard?

Before anything, remove all power from the board (PSU and CMOS battery for a while). Then replace battery and clear CMOS before reconnecting PSU. See if that sorts it....

I reset CMOS, and now it's working... I'm SO confused right now. THANK YOU
