Slot 2 PCI Expres 8 native.

Hey big problems my friends...
For one or 2 years my first slot this not work from my motherboards ....
So i changed in slot 2 gpu ...
Everything normal ...
When i decover the slot 2 gpu will run on 8 native instade 16native like slot 1 ....
So what i can do now if my first slot is death...to change the mobo or to run at slot 2 my gpu ?

 

Spec:

Z390-E Strix mobo
4070 Super Strix 
i9-9900k 
PSU-850 corsaire.
Clooer STRIX LC 360

After reviewing the specifications in the ROG STRIX Z390-E GAMING user manual and confirming with the relevant teams, we have verified that when a GPU is installed in the PCIEX16_2 slot while leaving PCIEX16_1 unoccupied, the slot will still operate at a maximum speed of X8.

If you require full X16 operation, we recommend verifying the functionality of the PCIEX16_1 slot by cross-testing with another GPU, trying updating the BIOS, and clearing CMOS. If you suspect that the PCIEX16_1 slot may be damaged, please evaluate whether sending the motherboard for repair is necessary.

Thx for advice,but the slot was death ...

I change the mobo with z370-e strix...and everything is normal now.....

I have send to repair that mobo z390-e.
