SAMSUNG EVO PLUS 970 M.2 NVME not working

Dear ROG,

I just installed a new SAMSUNG EVO PLUS 970 M.2 NVME and I cannot make it run properly, I have been doing research, but I am unable to solve the problem.

Hardware:

Asus Rog Maximus XI Hero WiFi

Intel Core i7-8700K 3.7Ghz

Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro DDR4 3200 PC4-25600 64GB 4x16GB (running at 3000 as higher was giving me issues)

Asus Rog Strix GeForce RTX 2080 8GB GDDR6

M2_1: Western Digital Black SN750 NVMe 1TB SSD M.2 (running WIN11 in a GPT partition)

M2_2: SAMSUNG EVO PLUS 970 M.2 NVME

SATA_4: WD NAS Desk Red 8TB 256 MB SATA 3 (GPT partition)

Bios setup:

Legacy compatibility disabled

PCI 3.0 x4 enabled

AHCI enabled

The BIOS is detecting both drives M2 drives without apparent issues, I can use Secure Erase on the new Samsung drive (but is only allowing me a LBA of 512).

Windows 11 setup:

Samsung NVME driver installed.

Samsung magician 8 installed (I ran a full check and it gave no errors).

I can initialize the drive, but if I try to use a GPT partition is setting it up as GPT protective and I cannot use it, if I select MBR then I get format errors, CHKDSK is giving an unspecified error (even from the recovery console), every time that I reboot it runs CHKDSK but is not fixing the problem.

I am running out of ideas, any help would be highly appreciated.

Thanks!
