So I have updated my mobo to 1105, I have noticed now that my VGA white light stays on when I boot up. Now if I restart my rig the light goes away, do not understand why this is happing.

I have removed the gpu and ram and reseated them, White light still comes on, but after restarting the light goes away.

Any ideas from you pros's?

Thanks in advance.

1. the monitor has to be on when you turn the computer. if the computer was on sleep and the monitor off that light will go on.

Do not use sleep mode on my rig, monitor does go to sleep once I turn off my rig. So that might be the issue then? Will test this out, by turning off the monitor when I turn off my pc.

When I've had this issue (usually on POST), unplugging the monitor's power cable until power is off on the monitor, and replugging it in usually fixes it for me.

I can confirm that on z-790 WIFI D4 MOBO the solution with turning the monitor before you turn on the PC does not give out the white light. If the monitor is off, and you start the PC - white light stays on. It is not a biggie, but the PC is on the table and during the night it is irritating because it is bright.
