Removing LED's From z370-F

I never wanted the LED's in the first place. I hate LED's. What am I? 15?
The plastic shroud is covering up the VRM heat sink. Seems silly why ASUS would do this... The VRM runs really warm. I want airflow EVERYWHERE I can get it around the VRM. I looked through the I/O connector area and see some wires that connect the shroud to the motherboard. I want to remove that plastic shroud and wires that connect the LED's to the motherboard. Is it possible to remove all of that without the use of a heat gun or soldering?
If my question doesn't make sense, I am linking a picture of what I am specifically talking about. See the red circled area.

It looks like it's fastened from the underside.
A bus station is where a bus stops. A train station is where a train stops. On my desk, I have a work station…

Try using Asus Aura to turn it off:

There should be a setting in the bios to turn it off as well.

Advanced tab, Onboard Devices Configuration.

Check the back of the board for small screws that may be attaching the shield to the board....if none...my guess is that the shield snaps in place via tabs and may need a little pressure to be released....you do this at your own risk though.
