Maximus XI Hero and G.Skill 4133 Mhz Cl19 booting problem

Hello,

I have a problem with: Maximus XI Hero (Wi-Fi) + 9900k + G.Skill 4133 Mhz Cl19 (F4-4133C19D-16GTZR - listed on the QVL) combo.
With enabled XMP, it's almost impossible to pass the booting process - 9 out of 10 attempts ends with POST code 23.
However, in rare cases when it has passed booting process computer was 100% stable - also booting problem doesn't exist when I disable one of the RAM channel by BIOS which makes that RAM working in single channel mode.

It seems that the memory training is not able to handle that RAM even though it is listed on the QVL.

And what if I leave everything as it is? The system is completely stable if MRC Fast Boot is enabled...

I still think that your bios is bugged...

That's because MRC Fast Boot retains the last known settings in NVRAM, so routines are missed. It's easy to draw conclusions to things like "bugs" if one doesn't understand what constitutes as a pass / fail. You could relax CL by one clock and this would also likely stop the cold boot issues, too.

If I use even 1.20v for VCCSA/VCCIO, my system sometimes may not booting with default xmp 3200 16-18-36 lol. But with OC to 3466 16-18-36 and 1.1v for VCCSA/VCCIO I can pass all RAM tests if MRC Fast Boot is enabled. I still don't understand anything.

The overclock isn't stable. These rails are not linear, more voltage can sometimes hurt just as much as too little depending on the CPU sample.

Turn MCH Full check to Enabled. I had lots of issues when it was on [Auto]

I disabled MCH full check and enabled MRC fast boot - no problems with boot anymore

See what works for you, however, please note that disabling POST stress tests can often be a bandaid fix to an unstable overclock. Disabling these features can result in the system becoming unstable or dropping a memory module once in the OS.

I understand, but I use overclocking settings proven by months

Can you HEAR ME PLEASE?? When I dont use overclock it may doesnt start too!!! With full default xmp (3200 16-18-36 1.35v) and auto voltages!!! Even with 1.35 vccio/sa and 1.45v dram!! Even when I disable XMP and leave FULL AUTO settings! Even with huge boot voltages! It's full random! Memok doesnt work too! I get POSTed in safe mode every time (after 4 attempts to boot). It's 100% bios bug or my mb is broken, because I didnt have ANY problems with my old z370-g gaming even with OC to 3466 16-18-36 and 1.1v vccio/sa!

But I will not be able to return it under warranty because the service center is unlikely to be able to detect such a problem! they will check that the system can boot at 2133mhz 17-17-39ram and will say that everything is fine!

The only way to use the board is to catch the moment when it can boot with the selected parameters (the chance always with any parameters is ~3-5%) and go through training and then enable MRC fast boot and disable MCH check!

So please fix your bios or just tell me how can I return MB as warranty case. I think that the memory contoller of my mb is broken. Now I can boot only with default 2133mhz 17-17-39

1) Anything over JEDEC specification is considered an overclock.

2) There are no bugs or issues with the UEFI causing your instability.
