Maximus XI Code not reading GTX 1080

Hi all,

Just hoping someone can help me here please.

So I have a Maximus XI Code that been working perfectly with my ROG 4080,

Now unfortunately I had to send my 4080 for repair as the power connector melted but that's another story.

So I had my pc running fine with the intel integrated graphic card but now since the repair will take a while I got myself a second hand Gigabyte GTX 1080 went to install it onto the MB but when booting the pc I keep getting a black screen and no signal on the monitor.

The 1080 is working fine on another pc that I tested so I know is not the GPU.

The bios of the mb is the v2004.

Any suggestions please?

Do I need to disable the onboard intel graphic card to get the 1080 to work?

Even though when I swapped from my old 2080 to the 4080 it did everything automatically.

I also removed the old Nvidia drivers for the 4080 but still nothing.

Thanks in advance

Yes CSM was disabled and I enabled it and is finally booting now from the 1080 thanks so much for your help.

Anything you would suggest to do when I get back my 4080?

Uninstall the 1080 drivers obviously before booting up the 4080 again and shall I disable CSM again or just leave it enabled?

Thanks again for your help

You're welcome.

Awesome, good to hear it's working.

I have the ASUS ROG Strix RTX 3090 Ti and I set CSM to disabled, so your RTX 4080 should work with CSM disabled as well.

Ok I will disable it again when my 4080 comes back then,

Once again thanks a lot for your help.
