Maximus X USB 2.0 Ports Question

I have a lot of USB devices and am using up almost all of my ports. The Maximus X board has 1 USB port labeled BIOS and 1 labeled Keybot.

Is there any downside to using these ports with normal devices or do they just provide additional functionality in the BIOS?

I use KeyBot when on a Das Pro keyboard which lacks macros. Although Hamsin Clipboard works just as well (actually better) when running Windows.
