Maximus X Hero - connected headphones hear crakle/ statics

Hi everyone,

When i connect any stereo headphones to either the rear or front 3.5mm jack the audio coming from the headphones produce slight crackling / static. I believe this is the first time connecting headphones to the rear and/or front 3.5 mm headphone jack. My Maximus X Hero (Wi-FI AC) motherboard is only a few months old. I was thinking of updating the audio driver, which brings a question.

One the ASUS website, the latest audio driver is labeled: 8507_UAD_WHQL_2018_0815_NAHIMIC.zip Version 6.0.1.8507 (release date: 2018/09/28); this driver is NOT labeled as a Realtek Audio Driver, not sure why or if it even is a Realtek Audio Driver. There is another audio drive released on 2018/02/24 (version 6.0.1.8507) which is labeled Realtek Audio Driver. Not sure which I should download, help please?!?

Besides downloading an updated audio driver, any other suggestions for me?

Thanks in advance for all your help!
