Looking for adaptive settings for i7 8700k (on a Asus Prime Z370-A)

Yesterday there was a BIOS update release for the Asus Prime Z370-A (BIOS 0420)

After upgrading the BIOS and doing some IXTU runs I found out that the voltage for the CPU went up dramatically.
With BIOS 5419 it didn't get past 1,33, with 0420 it hits 1,405/1,41.
Way to much for my tast.
(I'm not even overclocking, only put on sync all cores)

So that means using the adaptive setting in BIOS.
Now I'm looking for good, adaptive voltage settings to use for a i7 8700k
Does someone have does ?
I'm not planning on overclocking the 8700k, maybe try if it will hit 4,9GHz on all cores.
So the adaptive voltage settings could be real lean.

I tried to set up an adaptive profile with those settings to my i7 8700K CPU on a motherboard ASUS maximus Hero X

Sync all cores 48

SVID Enabled

SVID behavior : best case scenario

addtional turbo mode core : 1.265

offset negative
offeset auto

IA DC Loadline : 0.01

IA AC Loadline : 0.01

But the vcore for what i see in HW monitor goes from 1.20 to 1.28 . Shouldn't it goes lower on idle?

I have no idea where is the issue...

Hello there my friend.

May I ask you why you want to use those particular settings?

It would be just as easy to first reset bios to defaults then select XMP profile, Sync all Cores 48 F10 save and exit.

Try that and tell me how it goes in OS. You should see voltage drop.

Well just to have lower temps at idle I guess .

I don't really want to reset bios.. My other profile are ok (i made a manual OC which is stable) and I'm lazy so i don't feel like redoing it all.

If i just do that i guess i will have insane temps if I dont touche anything else no?

Intel have a built in features that drops the CPU frequency and the vcore when the system is not in use. That will lower the temps obviously. If your system does not do so then you have disabled that setting.

Enabling both SpeedStep and C-states is a way to limit the power consumption of the processor when idling.

I found the solution by putting MIN CPU Cache in AUTO and max at 42, now the vcore drops and i have a vcore between 0.67 and 1.28 depending on load, is that good?

Is it usefull to do the same thing in manual oc?
