Help Overclocking 9900k - 5.0 stable Realbench - Crash in games...

So I found Philly's recommendations for overclocking in another thread, so I applied these...

Set AI Overclock to XMP 1
BCLK..100.000
Asus multicore enhancement...disabled
SVID ...either Typical or Best Case
.AVX ...0
CPU Core Ratio...Sync all cores
1 core ratio ...Auto
Dram frequency...3600mhz
Xtreme tweaking....Enabled
Toggle Dram timing control and enable Mode 1
Toggle Internal CPU mgmt...
Intel speedstep...disabled
Long and Short durations...4095
IA/AC.....0.01
IA /DC...0.01
CPU core cache...255.50
Min / Max CPU cache ratio...43
Dram voltage ..1.40 (Tweaked this myself)
CPU Vccio...1.25
CPU SA...1.25
Under CPU Configuration...toggle CPU power mgmt
Boot performance mode ...turbo
Intel speedstep...disable
Intel speedshift...disable
Turbo mode...enable
CPU states...disable
CFG lick....disable

I'm 100% stable in Realbench / Prime95 for 1 hour... Temps hit 80C on CPU (on water)

My setup
9900k
Maximus Xi Extreme (Latest Bios)
G.Skill 2x8 4133Mhz (Can only run these at 4000 - in order to boot into windows)
2 1080ti's in SLI
970 EVO Pro
2 850 Evo's Raid 0
EVGA 1300 watt PSU (Gold)

So my issue is... the computer just LOCKS up - no blue screen - the screen and audio just freezes and my audio is left in the spot it froze, so it makes a terrible noise... When GAMING (Any game)

I'm not sure what I'm missing.

I can run it at 5.1Ghz but it was locking up so I put it at auto and it runs at 5.0Ghz but same thing... BUT Realbench succeeds everytime I run it for an hour+ ... the games I'm playing aren't using the cpu 100% ...

Any help?

Thank you - Happy New Years!

first of all reset bios to its defaults 🙂
next try to set memory at default speed which is always 2133 MHz with DIMM voltage at 1,2V, IO 0,95V and SA 1,05V, timings leave untouched
now you should be stable at everything
next step - try these settings https://imgur.com/a/OVPVIhT, but leave AI Overclock Tuner at auto + memory related things at defaults (as mentioned on 2nd line) + cache at auto

2133Mhz? Not 4133mhz?

So I'm running realbench. Temps got to 88C - wow this is a hot chip. I'm under 2 480 rads also.

Voltage is at 1.279 - 1.305C from cpu-z

you have to overclock CPU first, so set memory at default JEDEC standard which is 2133 MHz 🙂

Oooooo I gotcha. 🙂

Ok cool. Just letting realbench run.

How long should I run this?

EDIT: Should I also be running something other than RealBench? it's working both my GPUs and CPU - and it's set to UP to 4GB RAM - if i go to 8 - it says I don't have enough ram -_-

Fixed: upped paging file

i think at least one hour should be enough 🙂 but try your games too

Ok and then what's next?

Thank you for helping!

if you have problems with games, try the games you want to play 😄
you can try cinebench and y-cruncher benchmark too (kurumi - 0 / 1 / maximum available memory)

So far no issues in games

now you can try my settings for cpu oc 🙂 but still keep memory at defaults
