Because ASUS and other OEMs don't care about our system security, all that matters to them is "can our motherboard OC better than the competitors."

Summary:
Potential security vulnerabilities in some Intel® Chipset Firmware in Intel® Converged Security and Manageability Engine (CSME), Intel® Active Management Technology (AMT) and Intel® Server Platform Services (SPS) may allow escalation of privilege or denial of service. I tried to update on an ASUS H170-PRO motherboard and got "Error 8771: Invalid file" as output. The check script runs without any problems.

Is it possibly related to the fact that the .bin file has the version 11.8.93.4323 but the update utility outputs "Intel (R) Firmware Update Utility Version: 11.8.93.4452" in the console?

Thanks a lot!

Hi,

No, it's related to the fact that all my threads are AIMed for ASUS consumers motherboards only and that you tried to flash Intel ME Consumer Firmware on corporate motherboard that use Intel ME Corporate Firmware.

Thanks for your quick help!

I was not aware that this is a corporate mainboard. A friend of mine bought it at a regular consumer store and used it as a personal device.

Is there a known way to find and flash the correct Intel ME corporate firmware?
