Thanks in advance, i'll have my Z390-F soon. If i go with Bios 2004, i need to update Intel ME ?

By the way, what are the differences between ME_Intel and MEUpdateTool and Intel ME Security
Because when i download the 12.0.81.1753v4 from support Asus, there are more files and folders in the .zip

Thanks

Hi,

When you receive your ASUS ROG Strix Z390-F Gaming motherboard, and once you have updated your BIOS to the latest, use this tool to check if your system is vulnerable or not : [SOFTWARE] Intel ME Security Check (1xx/2xx/3xx/4xx/5xx/6xx)

If your system is vulnerable, you need to update your Intel ME firmware and your Intel MEI drivers (Intel ME firmware & Intel MEI drivers work in tandem).

You need these firmware/drivers for your ASUS ROG Strix Z390-F Gaming motherboard :

[FIRMWARE] Intel ME (H310/B360/H370/Z390)

[DRIVERS] Intel Chipset/MEI/SATA/VMD (1xx/2xx/3xx/4xx/5xx/6xx/7xx)

- Intel Chipset Drivers

- Intel MEI Drivers (Drivers Only)

- Intel SATA AHCI-RAID Drivers (Drivers Only) :

Drivers - 2xx/3xx

[DRIVERS] Intel Ethernet/WiFi/Bluetooth

- Intel Ethernet Drivers (Drivers Only) :

Drivers - I217/I218/I219

[DRIVERS] Realtek Audio (Intel 2xx/3xx/4xx/5xx/6xx/7xx & AMD 3xx/4xx/5xx/6xx)

You have an ASUS ROG SS3 motherboard, so :

You need Realtek Audio Drivers (UAD - ASUS ROG SS3) from the first post of the thread.

Follow scrupulously your CLEANUP process then your INSTALL process, for the next drivers packages that I would release, you will can directly follow your UPDATE process.

ME_Intel_vxx.x.xx.xxxx : This is the syntax I use for the naming of my Intel ME firmware packages (which are directly based on Intel tool, without intermediary/overlay).

MEUpdateTool_xx.x.xx.xxxx_x : This is the syntax ASUS use for the naming of Intel ME firmware packages from your motherboard support page (which are also based on Intel tool but with the ASUS ME Update Tool intermediary/overlay, hence the extra files/folders compared to my packages).

ME_Intel_Security_Check_vx.x.x.x.exe : This is the syntax I use for the naming of the Intel tool I told you to use above to check if your system is vulnerable or not.

Wow, thank you very much 🙂

Has anyone tested this version, yet? I have upgraded my firmware and I am experiencing issues using it. Booting is way slower than before and a few devices regarding Management Engine have been disabled in device manager because they don't seem like connected, e. g. management and security application local management.
