i have been playing just fine and all of a sudden while playing a game ( BFV ) it rebooted on me , then again 3 hours latter during the game. the CPU was at around 55 and GPU around 59 , the PCH was at about 67 , nothing different then when i had no rebooting , i have had it even hotter specs in other games.
the Memory had XMP on at 3200 , the CPU had Turbo on at 4700 , Fans where runing at about 80% to 100 % water pump was running at 2300 -2600 and i have 8 pin CPU Motherboard power plugged in and NO power on the 4 pin next to it, all for over a week with no problems. the system is about under 2 weeks old

The instability can be dialed out, usually by tuning the VCCIO and VCCSA voltages - each CPU is different in this regard. When helping other users resolve these problems, though, it's best to verify if the problem is resolved at default settings.

im usuing Trident Z , verified memory and was made for intel 370 on specs specificaly said it , so havent had a problem with it , my first time trying XMP since i just learned about JEDEC speed and was not runing full speed , so i turned on XMP and had no issues at all like i expected after watching Linus tech tips having a problem doing it , and i ran for a week playing many games and beta games i got into last week with no issues xmp and turbo on auto

I agree with Silent here. DROP All OC including XMP and test.

Please check BIOS VERSION, and CHIPSET / IME version you have.

You are using the crate or the updater, to make sure is update? cause if you do, IS NOT WORKING. please check and let taggle you issue. My issues is softwere related and not hardware i will test games today and see how that goes

the problem just keeps getting worse , as i said i ran fine for a week with Trubo on , then turned on XMP AUTO , ran fine for a week , then all suden reboots 1 time mid game 2 days in a row , i took off CPU Turbo , ran fine for a week again , then started the reboot thing again , i turned off XMP , ran for a couple days , and now i get black screen when booting into Battlefield V or within 1-20 min over and over , Have to HARD OFF /ON the pc to get pc running again.
Bios is 0805 , the chipset is 17.0.1.1075 , i used driver easy and driver booster to update lots of things , and even though i look it up i have no idea what you mean about IME , best answer i have is english input ,
i have reseated the RAM and Video card / no affect.
and since no one has answered my post with being able to boot into a USB with memtest+ on it , i have not been able to even try to do any stability test on the RAM just for starters , i didnt have any of these problems with MAX X FORMULA with all the same components , all i changed was my CPU and NEW MAX XI and this whole system is taking a Dump

1. Memtest86 is not a valid indicator of system stability on DDR4 platforms - for this purpose use either HCI Memtest Pro or Ramtest.

2. The issue with BFV may be a red herring and not related to the spontaneous reboots. Soak test the system with other use/stress tests. A mixture of Intel XTU and Realbench.

3. Changing the CPU is the biggest factor when it comes to overclocking, including memory

i cant find ramtest download , got a link? , the HCI one cost money to get and the other programs seem to be dealing with OC , my system cant even run normal now without any OC

HCI Memtest has a free version.

RamTest is not free but I would recommend as the best method. https://www.karhusoftware.com/ramtest/

You need to leave XMP disabled until you're able to find the root of the issue, however, these tools will help you to confirm memory overclocking is stable when XMP is enabled, as well.

Addressed that comment in my previous post. You need to soak test the system to see if the erratic reboots are still happening at stock (System defaults - no XMP). It's best to have a systematic approach to these things.

My son's system was doing random reboot few month ago. I went through trouble shooting like you were doing. Thought it was CPU, Memory... blah...
But as it turn out in the end, it was my Corsair AX850i power supply with digital power correction that was causing the issue. RMA my AX850i... and they send me AX1200i. Violla... problem solved.... no more random reply.

Point is, don't forget to check power supply. It maybe defective. If you have access to another power supply. Swap it out and check.
