my first sli setup.. using Maximus XI Formula. pcie question

so, when i use two gpu's in sli, doe the max xi formula limit both to x8 now? or are they both x16 still? it seems to be x8 on both cards. any help would be appreciated. thanks

AFter latest bios update on the z390-I, gpu fluctuates in-game. Why?

I saw some Lan and intel updates on the Asus Site. When I try to install them I get a notification that my board drivers are newer that the ones I am trying to install. The dates on the Asus site are only a couple days old. I am confused.
