All other RGB lights on the MB are working normal and can be controlled by AURA.

Anyone has same issue? or just me got an deflect unit. Please help.

Thank you.

I have a brand new Maximus XI Code motherboard, was doing the same as yours. My upper left RGB lighting was so very dim, you had to be in darkness to see the barely detectable bleed of the lighting.
I found a post from another member with a similar issue, like him I loosened the screws holding the plastic shields in place (these are under my motherboard, so had to remove it to gain access) and found several RGB power cables that were not seated completely.
I just re-seated the cables, put the shielding back on and like magic I have a working board!
You might want to consider this option, I called ASUS they wanted me to send the board in, a 10-12 day return time.

Hope this helps you out...

Thx for the info, MarvC. Let me take it off to check tonight. Actually, it is my back I/O is not lighting up as well. I may need to fix it too. Can't not believe the flagship MB is having this much issues. Where is the ASUS QC???

do you have a pic of the upper left after it was fixed?
mine is very dim as well but it works
I watched a video review and it looks the same, so I assume this is normal (maybe not)

The original lighting on the I/O shield cover was so dim only one vertical / diagonal Line could be made out, this was the same going to the middle and lower portion of on the motherboard.
Once I reseated two of the cables under the plastic cover all lines were then visible, they are not as bright as the product photo shows!*
Reseating the connectors was helpful in illuminating all the areas of the motherboard, they are not as bright as the Asus design though, I guess it’s just the way the board was designed.
I’ll try and get a photo for you, we’re out of town so may be a few days.

oh? all my traces light up but again, it's just dim
what about the bottom right where the pch is? is it about the same even brightness?
because it's so dim the faintest amount of light or non-light makes a difference
i'm running a top rgb rad so the light from there makes it look even more dimmer (it cannot out shine that), second where the pch is, my video card creates like a shadow making it look even brighter

is the hero xi like this? you're right, i was very disappointed to see how dim this was after seeing how bright the strix line was

is your rog eye where the pch is kinda of translucent ever so slightly? none of the video's I carefully looked at had this
where the brow is, looks like there is something underneath
I did remove this the first time to install the m.2 and the protective seals have been removed

I have a new ASUS Gene XI, the RGB 'eye' on the IO shield is very dim, especially next to Corair AIO, fans and memory, maybe a BIOS update will fix this next time around if they think it's an issue
