Asus ROG Z490-G / i9-10900K

What's going on ROG's - I have a question to ask regarding my setup.

This is my first time actually seeing the (CPU temps displaying) through the (NZXT Kraken Z63) and I'm a bit worried that with AIO on the i9-10900K it's going up high 71c when gaming and 33c when I'm on the PC or Idled.

- I don't fully understand how to OC and I personally don't like Over Clocking CPUs, is it true that Asus Mobo has auto OC this set to default?
- Is this normal for the i9-10900K to go up to 71c ??
- Can this auto OC be turned off without affecting my system?
- If so, what I'm I supposed to disable on AI Tweaker?

Thank You in advance for the help.

Depends a bit on GPU and case airflow. If you have little airflow through the case...the GPU will chuck out a lot of heat and that will help saturate the AIO on the CPU.

That said those temps are not something I'd worry about....you could always repaste and check mount and contact just to be sure

Thank you for replying to my issue. If you look at my system spec, The case inside I have a total of 8 Fans, 3x 120mm intake in from the bottom, 3x 120mm intake from the side panel and 2x 140mm exhaust at top.

I never really paid attention to the CPU Temps on all my previous builds, until I got the Kraken Z63 with the display, so I find it weird that at idle my CPU reads 33c-35c and when gaming it goes up to 71c?... I just went into the BIOS and disabled (Asus Multicore Enhancement) and I noticed my CPU while gaming went down to 56c-63c. Now I'm not sure if that made a difference, I will have to continue testing that later on the day.

I was watching a YouTube video someone playing games on a ultrawide monitor with the same CPU and he had the Kraken Z73 supposedly OC at (5.2Ghz) and his CPU Temps were at 43c-45c at most, which I found odd.

- I really don't know, I'm just worried that I'm burning up my (i9 10900K).
- I forgot to mention that my Kraken Z63 for some reason its not displaying the GPU Temps, yet when I look into the Nzxt Cam software under PC Monitoring it shows the GPU Temps, yet not on the AIO display so I can't use the Dual Screen option.

Don't use Ai tweaker for one. If you don't want to OC then set in your bios to CPU 37x. What is the water temp of your AIO. What is your room temp. If you don't know how to do that there are plenty of video's on youtube to tell you. But you could be over volting the CPU if left on auto, so you will have to look at that. What frequency is your CPU running at now. Theses CPU's run hot and 71c is really OK. Have you tried Prime 95 with on AVX, to see what the temps are.

Can you completely disabled Ai Tweaker?... I did disabled MCE and that made a difference, I'm idle at 28c-30c and I was gaming with temps 40c-46c so far, I will continue to test and see. On the AIO water temps it's showing Liquid 27c.

Yes...disabling MCE will make a difference.

RE the fans...there are fans and there are fans....lots of fans spin and move little air. Especially if they are pushing against too little exhaust.

Maybe play about with config....balance exhaust and intake for example

10900K at 5.2GHz and those temps:rolleyes:....either the window is open in Iceland or the game was minesweeper...

I've noticed after disabling the MCE my CPU temps idle is now reading 28c-30c and I was gaming last night temps were at 40c-46c. I will continue to monitor this tonight with other games.
