ASUS ROG Maximus XI Hero Z390 OR ASUS Prime Z390-P

I plan to put an i78086k in one of these motherboards, I hope to get up to 5.2.

Will the Prime provide enough power to get to 5.2/5.3

I know there is a debate on the hero having true 8 phase power.

I plan to put in one or two M.3s and use my old Rog STRIX GTX 1070 for now.

Thanks in advance for any help in picking one, I dont want to over pay for a board whereby another can do just as good a job.

In this case, the best choice is ASUS ROG Maximus XI Hero !

I believe it will depend more on the quality of your CPU than the board, but I would pick Hero over the others as at least it is a ROG Maximus board which usually means higher quality components

Thanks for your input, I only want it to last 1-2 years, hoping intel will release a decent 10nm chip lol, this this build goes to my son.

OP you seriously can not go wrong with ASUS ROG board, be it the hero brand or the tine gene. I have had more than my fair share of ASUS ROG boards and not once have I regretted owning a ROG board. Build is solid and the options are sufficient that you can get exactly what you want from your board.

Go with the ROG Hero.
