this bios no blue screens no whea errors , no exe has stoped responding and no issues in windows event viewer on the new 1400 bios

maybee you lowerd your load line calibration a level or somthing ? i play bf1 also i hadent crashed on it on the new bios

In my last bios (long time) i have 4.8 Ghz all cores with LLC 5 and 1.23V. Ofc i have others configuration i just copy this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CoUtA7DKXhU&t=2s and change speed for 4.8, LLC for 5 and voltage.

Some people dont know i think but the first bios this motherboard have with MCE on we get 4.7 Ghz all cores and almost 1.38V in that time with stock configuration, so i just O.C for 4.8Ghz the CPU and get better results with low temperatures and low voltage. This week i update the bios for 1401 and get some problems with same configuration. I think no one here is running 4.8Ghz on 8700k 😞

Hi guys, i update my bios but i cant any more get the same stability with same voltage than before, any person here with same problem? Normaly i get 4.8Ghz all cores with 1.23v but when i run Battlefield 1 the game have some breaks, i turn off the O.C and tha game run complete normal, this is hard to belive because i do the prime95 test 1hour and i get stability with that voltage.

One hour of Prime doesn't mean it's stable.

Prime can take 10 hours to get through all of the different tests. You can also test CPU=Memory 'blend' test or CPU or memory separate.

You may just need a bit more V-core. Maybe try using Real bench stress test or 3Dmark.

Firmly believe new bios 1401 has bugs...no doubt in my mind...since the ME firmware update in this bios...nothing but issues...had a very stable 8700k..5.1ghz @ 1.376v with bios 1003...since then....went to 8086k with bios 1401...nothing but issues....testing this bios for 2 days....Finding that enabling XMP gave fatal errors...no issues in the past with XMP enabled....decided to go manual settings....Voila...errors seemed to have gone...can now run this chip 5.3ghz @ 1.392v P95 small ffts ..ATM...prob can go lower...dunno....seems this bios was a rush due to 8086k launch...Just my opinion !!!

I too have stability issues on a formerly stable 5 GHz OC. With the new BIOS I start getting recoverable WHEA errors at around 15 minutes of Realbench. I have rolled back to 1101 (except the updated IME firmware, which I can't roll back), and get the errors around 30 minutes. I have nodded the 1101 BIOS for microcode 94 a and 96 and they are more frequent. I am trying to figure out how to roll back the IME firmware. Going to try removing the CPU and using flashback to try and force the update of the IME region of the BIOS.

Bass Junkie....I feel your pain and then some...as I previously stated...there are unfortunately issues with this bios 1401 and even rolling back to a previous bios doesn't seem to resolve it due to the ME Firmware that was embedded in that bios is my take on things....Seems nobody from Asus is making any comment or providing any input or help since that bios release...that is something I have noted as well !!

You can then use a file comparison tool like winmerge to catch any differences.
