Addressable RGB header blocked by GPU

I recently built a new PC using a ROG Strix Z390-E Gaming motherboard and a ROG Strix RTX2080. When I installed the GPU, I noticed that due to its size, it blocked the motherboard ARGB header. I was not able to attach my case's RGB controller using the supplied 3 pin cable.

Has anyone else noticed this problem? I thought I could maybe find a different 3 pin ARGB extension cable that had a more compact connector, but I have not had any luck yet. They all seem to have the same thick connector that just doesn't seem to fit behind this GPU. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks.

move the gpu to a different slot

imo you shouldn't have too, i'm squeezed in 3/4 pin fan connectors behind gpu's
it's tight but still works
you'll have enough clearance as the pcie slot is high
