5.3 ghz 9900k benchmark

Phillyflyer

Just testing the 9900k on this board....able to run some benchmarks @ 5.3 GHZ. (ALL CORES)….gonna need quite the cooling to tame these puppies down !!….If it weren't for the temps that 9900k generates...I have no doubt that 5.3GHZ is achievable 24/7 (ALL CORES)...….Delidding and liquid metal may help shave 3-5 degrees off temps....but still gonna be in that +/- 90 degree temp range IMHO.

Hey Dude, thanks for the share 🙂
So you confirm no issues at all with 9900k on Z370 as I saw a lot of Z390 reviews with awafull vdroop ?

Nice work. What are you setting for ring voltage? Might help to remove the overclock there if temps are impeding progress.

Nice OC ...my friend...temps are great for that voltage on the chip....how are you able to achieve such ??
Thinking of stripping my custom loop down....adding the 2nd XSPC RX 360 radiator in the loop and along with the XSPC RX 120.....right now...asking alot from (1) XSPC RX 360 radiator that is trying to dissipate heat from (2) GPU's and the 9900k...Past OC's and temps were great with 8700k /8086k chips.

I just use a pond pump and a bucket with tap water for cooling.
Didn't realise that the 1.44v LLC6 was for 5352mhz not 5.3 as in screen. Tried upto 1.48v for 5.4g but no go maybe with water a little cooler it will go.

Love the ghetto cooling Nick.

Both you lads have very good chips by the way. Consider yourself lucky.
To help us help you - please provide as much information about your system and the problem as possible.
