Z270i Strix BIOS 0812 Update - Fixed nothing, made things worse.

Hey,

a couple days ago I posted about all the different problems I had with my Z270i motherboard such as XMP not being as stable as the first 2-3 BIOS revisions.

The BIOS is said to Fix DRAM stability issue when XMP loaded but actually nothing has changed in that regard, I can't simply use the XMP profile anymore as I was able to before and have my CPU and RAM overclocked at the same time. The highest I could get is my RAM to 2400 Mhz (manually with nothing else changed) when before I was able to reach 3000 MHz with all the right settings for mit RAM Kit. I have also tried to increase SA and VCCIO voltages with no success.

Now with the new update and new hopes all I'm left is being stuck with 2133 MHz (more gives me a RED CPU LED) and an instable system and brutal FPS drops... system performance is a mess right now.

What the hell is going on with ASUS dev team? It feels like they have never seen or touched that specific motherboard and just upload something...

Edit: my system is literally unusable right now... I've had so much troubles with this board yet... why?!

Does anyone else have any feedback? I just built a Z270i system and upgraded immediately to the version just previous to this one. I haven't overclocked yet.

Stick with the shipping BIOS. Only update if your system is unstable or there's a new feature in the newer BIOS that you need.

Wow. After the 0808 BIOS fiasco, I bought the Gigabyte GA-Z270N-WIFI. Smooth sailing since.

Take the L OP and get a new motherboard.
