Z270i not recognising MSI GTX 970 in BIOS

Hello everyone, Just bought the z270i for a new build and it doesn't recognise my graphics card in the BIOS. The graphic card works and its being used in my existing build. I've tried another graphics card in the z270i, the gtx 560ti and that recognised in the BIOS. Tried 2 different PSU's, one was 650 and the other 520, both Corsair but still no joy. Changed the BIOS for the primary display to PCIE, when that didn't work I cleared the CMOS and still nothing. Made sure everything is plugged in and the graphic is set correctly in the slot. Checked for the latest BIOS, well there's only 1 version been released so far.
I'm not sure on what else I can do, not sure if this is compatibility issue or I'm just missing something that I can't see.
Any help would be much appreciated.
My build:
Asus Strix Z270i - BIOS 0234 (There's only 1 BIOS version for this MB)
i5 7600K
2 Sticks of DDR4 G.Skill TridentZ 3866 8Gb
MSI GTX 970
Corsair RM650
H80i v2

Try testing your system outside the case on a flat surface like the motherboard cardbord box.

Hi Chino, thanks for your reply. Tried the system outside the case and the graphic card had a output. The only thing, I went to graphic information within BIOS and it did not show a VGA plugged in. With it working outside the case, I assume the graphic card is touching the case somewhere?

I think the Graphics Information only works with ASUS GPUs. I'm not 100% sure on this since all my GPUs are from ASUS. 😛

It seems like a installation problem. Maybe the GPU wasn't fully inserted into the PCIe lane when the motherboard was inside the case.
