Z270's 'Enhanced Turbo' equivalent on the Z170 (M8H)?

Hello all,

I was wondering about the subject presented in the thread title. I may want to chuck in a 7700K (or preferably a 6 core/12 thread Coffee Lake equivalent if possible in the future) to get HT back and I know this feature exists on the Z270, but about my Z170 board? How do I make all cores turbo to max boost clock automatically (for a play before OC'ing)? Or does an 'Enhanced Turbo' mode option come with a new BIOS update?

Ah that could be it! Thank you so much! I'll have another look in the BIOS. So that should put all cores at the boost speed if no manual OC'ing is applied?

Hi The F34R Channel

If you want all cores to run constantly at max speed, set the windows power plan to high performance.

Oh no, I don't want that actually. What I meant was when it turbos having the boost clock on all cores with this feature pre overclocking. It seems the feature is the same and only renamed for Z270.
