Strix Z270e with kraken x62 and hue plus

Hello everyone.
I just assembled my first gaming rig and i plan to use the kraken and hue plus

From what i understand the z270e board has 3 internal usb headers

*ROG_EXT (which has a label "USB1314" below and the other two USB910 and USB1112

So technically i do not need an extra internal usb extension ( like the one from nzxt)
Correct me if i am wrong

I am no expert in pc building but why does the rog_ext usb 1314 has no 'walls' around it?

Is there any special situation to use that header?

Im planning to connect the kraken x62 usb header to the front usb port and the other ill connect my front i/o usb 2.0 ( im suing a nzxt s340 elite ) and ill connect my hue plus to that rog_ext header

thank you in advance for your help**

That's correct. You have 2 internal USB 2.0 ports and the one that's part of the ROG_EXT header. The ROG_EXT header is used to connect the OC Panel or ROG Front Base.

so if I connect the hue plus to the USB header technically it should work fine right? Or am I better off getting a USB internal extension

Thank you again for the reply*
