Asus should urgently work with Qualcomm on a fix!! I bought a USB-WLAN-Stick, no problems anymore. That should not be, ASUS!
Hi guys -- been having the same issue, tried multiple driver versions, disabling power savings for the adapter, etc -- none of that worked. The solution I found was to use WLAN Optimizer with the default settings (Background scan off)
I would think this should work for you assuming you were getting the same behavior (connection stalls -- Windows auto resets the connection) -- so far it's been over a day without a single connection issue. Previously, it could go for 30 minutes or a few hours but the connection stall / reset would always occur at some point.
I've read that disabling background scan has helped a lot of folks with Wifi issues; unfortunately, our Qualcomm adapters don't have that as a setting in the driver options. I haven't found a way to disable it via Windows yet, only this utility which is rather odd.
Hope this helps.
