hello all

i wasn't sure where to go for support for old hardware such as this but i thought i try here

i want to upgrade my ram from 16gb to 64 which is the max ram this mobo can take but when looking at the manual it said it can only take a max size module of 16gb.  over the years i have updated to the latest BIOS version but avoided the last obe which was a beta version.

would anyone know if the module size coupd have been upgraded with a BIOS update so i could use 2 32gb modules instead of 4 16gb  to get4 GB of ram?

thank you

Hi,
Doubt you will see much in the way of a reply to this given the age of the platform. It's unlikely the platform was updated to accommodate the newer density, and the CPU only supports up to 64GB.
I would opt for a 4x16GB kit and run them at stock if you run into trouble enabling XMP overclocking
