Hope someone here can help me, since google failed me...
System:
MoBo: Maximus IX hero.
CPU: i7-7700K
CPU-fan: BeQuiet! DarkRock Pro 3
RAM: G.Skill 16GB DDR4-3400 (2x 8GB)
GPU: GeForce GTX 1080 Ti
HDD: Crucial 500Gb SSD
OS: Win10 64
Entire system is maybe two months old. Done a full format C/reinstall a few weeks ago. Problem persists.
The problem: Randomly windows will show me a BSOD with seemingly random error messages. IRQL_LESS_OR_NOT_EQUAL / PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA and a few others. I've run several memtest applications and various stress testings when I first got the system, to ensure what levels of OC achieved safe temps, so faulty memory seems unlikely.
The windows error logs seem to point to various driver faults, but the specific driver is different with each crash. I noticed a trend that it's mostly audio drivers that are at fault: Some NVidia audio driver, RealTek, and a few others.
Now, reason I turned to ROG: I have an old Logitech G510 keyboard and G35 headset connected (USB), and the Logitech drivers that go with them installed. On-and-off the system will show a "USB device has failed" error, after which the programmable keys of my keyboard will stop working until a system reboot. Also using the audio jacks on the keyboard will result in some scary behavior and sounds, so hardware might be on it's last legs anyhow.
I noticed in some patch notes for BIOS updates that there were compatibility issues with logitech drivers. Is what I describe above this issue? Can a faulty keyboard/keyboard drivers cause the issues above? Is a new keyboard/headset the solution, or are there other things to try before throwing money at the issue?
