Maximus IX Formula Sound

Hey guys,

I have just put together a new system consisting of:

Asus ROG Maximus IX Formula
Intel i7 7700k
16 Gb Corsair Dominator Platinum
Kingston Savage 480Gb SSD
2Tb WD Black HDD
Windows 10 Pro

Everything went together ok, installed windows then used the disk to install MB drivers and apps. All worked ok except for the onboard sound. I get the yellow triangle with an exclamation mark next to the Realtek High Definition Audio in device manager and it says this in details:

Windows cannot verify the digital signature for the drivers required for this device. A recent hardware or software change might have installed a file that is signed incorrectly or damaged, or that might be malicious software from an unknown source. (Code 52)

So I went onto the Asus website and downloaded the drivers they have there. I uninstalled the old drivers and installed the downloaded drivers and still get the same problem. If I login to windows under the diagnostic mode and pick the option for ignore unsigned drivers it works but that is a pain in the butt to do.

I put in my Asus Xonar Phoebus Soundcard just so I can have sound but want to use the onboard SupremeFX.

Can anyone help with this problem?

Cheers

YES!! Thanks Marcelmaria. I've just installed the drivers from the link and it works great now. WHY can't Asus bring one out that works with a new product?

Looking at picking up a Maximus IX Hero Z270 possibly. I heard about the problems with audio drivers, exactly why i'm a little bit hesitant to buy really new tech. But... my ASUS Z170 PRO board needs replacing... and I might as well go Z270....

Are the audio driver issues fixed? With the release on Jan 10th?

Thanks!

It did not fix the audio issues (huge volume changes and distortion on headphones) on my Strix 270G.

3.5 jack

Tried with Audio drivers that came with the Motherboard ROG Maximus IX . Plug in 3.5 does not detect subwoofer. Tried all the jacks; gives me two options one is Line in and the other is Side Speaker. Read this thread and went to Realtek and downloaded their drivers (Like above Post) Still no Subwoofer detection. Bad Board?

Should have went Gigabyte.

A workaround for me was to install the latest HD Audio Drivers off the RealTek website, and then manually install Sonic Studio III and Sonic Radar III from the driver package.

That's working great for me until ASUS can get them updated, thanks for the heads up Chino.

We updated the latest drivers into the support pages of Strix and ROG motherboards.

RealTek High Definition Audio Version is now 6.0.1.7997 (uploaded on January 10th) - OS version does not matter, 10/8.1/7 share the same driver.
And don't forget, Keep pushing it !

Hi AkaNe@Asus,

Thanks for that, I did see them and have since installed the new drivers and they work great.
