Maximus IX Code speakers pop and crackle

I just got a Maximus IX Code and an i7-7700k. I have the Logitech z506 5.1 speakers. When Windows starts up, the speakers pop, and randomly will crackle when playing sounds. The speakers had no issue with my old system. I tried the basic Microsoft drivers and the Realtek drivers provided by ASUS, and the issue is there either way. I don't seem to have this issue if I use the front panel headphone jack. Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?

If you have tryed speakers with other inputs and the popping ends it seems like potential hardware or even firmware problem.
To rule out software problems you can try boot linux or other bootable os with audio from usb to test audio.
Front panel socket probably uses seperate ic from rear to amplify.
The headphone output port may be better audio quality also but its not audiophile quality as advertised.

I tried Ubuntu live and still got the pop when the OS loaded. I tried a different set of speakers and there was no pop. So it appears that there's just an issue using this particular set of speakers with this motherboard.
