Having an Occasional b2 code before Post (Formula MOBO)

Hi,

I've recently just completed a new desktop build and have the Maximus IX Formula version mobo. Everything went well setting it all up and the system runs great. But I've been having some issues on boot up with the system hanging before post. I originally thought it was code 62 but with a little investigating online it's actually b2. I've done a lot of searching over the last couple days and found other people having the same issues but they all had different solutions. Some didn't have solutions at all. They also were for other (older) versions of Asus motherboards. The first time the system showed the b2 code I had the A/C power shutdown while sorting out cables. I ended up clearing the CMOS after several restart attempts. The monitor also displays a blank curser (non flashing) on the screen. Not sure if clearing the CMOS did anything, but it finally posted and loaded my OS. I restarted the PC several times and everything seemed fine. Yesterday I had my PC off for most of the day and when I turned it on, I got the same code and curser on the screen again. After 3 resets the board seemed to hang showing code 00, and after reseting that time it finally booted normally again. I currently have everything set to stock and don't really have any clue on what the problem could be. Once I'm in Windows 10, everything works just fine and I haven't had a single crash or anything. I've read that it could be a GPU issue but I doubt that since playing all my games on max setting have shown no issues. I've updated the BIOS to the newest version. This is kind of a pain to troubleshoot since it seems to be random and I can't consistently replicate the problem. Anyone have an idea and what could be causing issues? I have my system specs below.

Asus Maximus IX Formula
Intel i7-7700K Kaby Lake
Corsair Hydro H115i
2x16GB Corsair Dominator Platinum Series DDR4 3000MHz (CMD32GX4M2B3000C15)
Nvidia Titan XP
Samsung 960 Pro Series 512GB (OS Drive)
WD Green Drive 1TB
Windows 10 Pro 64bit

Thanks!

Well after unplugging and replugging all sorts of stuff I think I found the culprit. It appears my BenQ XL2730Z monitor is the problem. I currently have it plugged into my video card via Display Port. I noticed when I shutdown my system the LED on the mobo would not clear, even in an off state it showed 00. I flipped the switch on my PSU to shut off power to the system. I still had my speakers on and once the mobo bled off I instantly heard a humming noise coming from my speakers. Even with no power the mobo still showed 00 on the display. I unplugged the display port cable from my card and it stopped, the mobo LED also cleared. I got the same results from unplugging the monitor power cord as well. I wondered if it was the cable, so I tried another and it still produced the same result. Plugging the monitor into the video output on the board does not give me the same results. I have an older monitor a BenQ XL2720Z, so I swapped that in and repeated. No issues with this monitor. Both are 144hz monitors but the XL2730Z is a higher resolution. I guess I'm stuck using my 1080p monitor for now. Has anyone else ever had issues such as this? This seems kind of crazy and I'm super bummed that I can't use my higher resolution monitor which is kind of why I build this machine to begin with.
