Hi all,
After years of being a Mac user, I took the plunge and returned to Windows. I'm an old geek (my first PC was a 386DX, 4MB RAM, 40MB Harddrive circa 1994).
This is my current build -
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/J4zd7h (I'm using a R9 280X currently; my GTX 1070 is backordered.)
Anyway - My system cold boots in ~18 Seconds and works fine. I have disabled CSM because I don't intend to use anything other than the M.2 SSDs in the near future. All other BIOS settings are default. (XMP is enabled)
Of this, 7 seconds are spent in Q Codes A2 (4 secs IDE Detect) and F6 (3 Secs Undefined Error).
I know it's not a big deal but being an old geek, not fully understanding this bothers me more than one would imagine.
#1 What is happening in A2?
I only have an M.2 SSD running in SATA mode. There is nothing connected through SATA cables.
Apart from this, the only other devices are HDMI Monitor, USB keyboard, and a USB mouse. So, what's with the 4 seconds of A2? Is this normal?
#2 Why am I getting an F6?
I don't even know what this error means. Apparently it's for future use, so no one does.
Again, all said and done, system still boots up fine and works great. But obviously something is misaligned somewhere and I'd love to fix it.
Any help would be appreciated.
