It happens the same thing ... this is a bug in the bios ... it was not in the bios before ... is it asus going to fix it? Should open a call on asus and report this bug on power off and on

Whatever I select for vcore it doesn't change for me when in adaptive mode or manual mode also. Anyone else?
I setted my 7700k @4.6 with 1.145 and it shows 1.245

Checked with cpuz or hwmonitor.

I encounter 1 long beep followed by 3 short beep upon starting up my PC. Based on manual, it mentioned these error is pointing to No VGA detected. But I can see the screen post as usual and then it went to Windows Desktop.

The above wont happened if I shutdown my pc and power on again. Usually it happened after long shutdown.

Oh ya, I only encounter this after I add in additional hardisk.

Any idea why this is happened and how to resolve it ?

Interesting. I did had that, since i do not have the small speaker install on the board to hear the beep sounds. For a unknown reason i change my HDMI cable and until now no problems. A long time ago, on the z97 era, there was a post regarding that. Test something. before turning on the computer, turn on your monitor first, and test. I am using a old AOC monitor since my 144hz panel start having issues. since i change my panel. errors start appearing, random not always. Since i insall the new microcode update with 1004, and now all current new drivers, I mean ALL of them. these as stop. Still making test all week with what i have.

I can't reproduce the problem after I restart my PC. The problem will be there again after a long period of shutdown. (maybe the next day)

I'm not sure whether I did some changes in Bios or change some of the setting from Auto to Gen 3 and caused the problem to surface.

I no longer getting these 1 long beep follow by 3 short beep anymore for few days. What I did was reset the bios. Choose XMP profile for my 3200 MHz RAM, CSM - off, Disable onboard sound..

Will further monitor if the problem back again.

Updated thread with link to MAXIMUS IX APEX bios.

This is Intel's fault. 1.245v is your processor's max turbo vcore for stock settings. You can't go below it using adaptive. Sucks huh?
