Sadly no IX formula.... Even after the new LAN drivers and going through the stuff Asus posted for my MB my stystem is still showing I'm vulnerable. I'm really getting sick of this. my two laptops through HP and Sony are all good due to their updates. Asus, pay a premium for their high end boards and get updates later than cheaper stuff.

Oh, God, what is there to discuss.
Asus just need to release new bios for all z170, z270 and z370. take an example with MSI...
Jokes with the ME region are bad... in which case the praised technology "bios flashback" will not help, because this technology was not brought to the mind, and it cannot rebuild all regions of the bios. although technically "bios flashback" it can work as a complete analogue of the programmer, but the asus does not consider it necessary to give such an opportunity.
The life cycle z170/z270 is not over, so be kind enough to fulfill the obligations. these tools that are laid out for the renewal of the ME region are more suitable for enthusiasts.

Has anyone figured out how to fix the Warning!!! "Pleasae check ME file is correct error"? I've tried several times to get this darn thing to work.

Gotta install the new driver first

I've already downloaded and tried installing both files (MEUpdateTool
and chipset 11.7.0.1040). Installing the chipset works just fine but then I get the error when running the MEUpdate tool. If I use the tool first I get the same error.

Okay so I tried the chipset driver again and this time removed intel management and then rebooted. I then installed the chipset file and once that was done ran the MEUpdate tool. It completed and rebooted the computer. Then once windows started I tried the detection tool and it says i'm still vulnerable. So I am thinking that the tool is wiggy or something. It is the FW version is 11.8.50.3399 which is the latest from Asus for my MB. Anyway for anyone having the same issue with the error code try this stuff. I have a maximus ix formula MB.

I had a similar experience, typically there is no steps or procedure given by asus (not hard to figure out though), but eventually the vulnerability was gone. M8H

Hi, I would like to ask a simple question: using the ME Tool update, which is included into Bios category on motherboard support, are there changes in Bios settings or not? Thank you.
