I've already downloaded and tried installing both files (MEUpdateTool
and chipset 11.7.0.1040). Installing the chipset works just fine but then I get the error when running the MEUpdate tool. If I use the tool first I get the same error.
Okay so I tried the chipset driver again and this time removed intel management and then rebooted. I then installed the chipset file and once that was done ran the MEUpdate tool. It completed and rebooted the computer. Then once windows started I tried the detection tool and it says i'm still vulnerable. So I am thinking that the tool is wiggy or something. It is the FW version is 11.8.50.3399 which is the latest from Asus for my MB. Anyway for anyone having the same issue with the error code try this stuff. I have a maximus ix formula MB.
