Hello People,

I have a maximus 8 ranger and i don't know exactly where do i have to put my two sticks of Kingston 2133 DDR4? in which slots exactly? I always thought i had to put them in slot A 2 and B 2 and apparently it is in slot A1 and B1. So where is the Truth?

i thank you in advance for your quick answers,

Arnaud

Why do you think ASUS and others put in a manual in the motherboard box? What do you use the manual for?
And think about it. Even on Asus download page there is a manual you can download and read.

I don't have the right word for you ignorance, but something is clearly very wrong.

Have a nice day 🙂

This counter-intuitive design demands my comment.

Why in the world is the A2/B2 pair the default? If it's because of some physical technical necessity, then why not name the slots differently, so that the defaults are called A1/B1?

And, on top of that, why not make the BIOS identification of the slots consistent with the board's slot names, and call the pairs DIMM1 and DIMM2, instead of DIMM0 and DIMM1?

Confusion.
