VIII hero alpha and i7 6700k OC voltage HELP

OC at 4.5Ghz

i can't get the voltage to run at 1.32V under LOAD, at LLC 5 it will run at 1.312V ( show in aida64 and hwmonitor) (1.312 V is unstable BSOD )

LLC 4 it will run at 1.29v

LLV6 1.344V

if i type in 1.325v Manual, Vcore voltage will jump between 1.312v and 1.328 V alternating


Tested 1.33V Manual, LLC 5 Vcore voltage under load 1.328V stable

any help?

hi demard .
the voltage's minimum step is 0.016, so 1.312v and 1.328v is normal.
*LLC 5 show best stable voltage and under one step when it is peek.

now i am trying to set the voltage at adaptive mode @ 1.33V additional turbo voltage,

but at cpu idle it was using 1.344V occasional 1.360V

did i miss something ...:confused:

Post a screenshot of the settings that you're modifying please. You can use an USB pendrive and the F12 key when you're inside the BIOS.

ok, maybe i had found the problem, it was the processor power management in windows, min processor state was at 100%


switch it to 10% min

but sometimes when cpu core speed jump to 4.5ghz (not under load) just some web browsing , vcore voltage will move up to 1.344 or 1.36v, can't i lock it at 1.328V ?

dropped the turbo voltage in adaptive mode to 1.32V and it run perfectly at 1.328V 😄

If ever the cpu voltage is going over what you set you can either try lowering LLC or using a negative offset to counter the overshoot.

Hi, I have hero alpha, and 6700k oced 4.5ghz with 1.312v bios 2202 3000mhz 8gb x2 g.skill trindentz running xmp with YES. and this is the only point i can get oc, 4.6ghz wont work even with 1.47vcore temps hitting over 85C still not stable with realbench, i can make 4.8ghz boot with these settings and play games, but cant pass realbench, so i choose to step back to 4.5 and 1.312v since there is no benefit in framerate.. i will wait and see hows the new 7700k will overclock 🙂 maybe it will hit 5ghz so i will consider upgrade or not 🙂

A 4.5GHz overclock is a respectable frequency. 🙂
