Greetings,my first post 🙂

i recently make a new z-170 Pc with intel i7 6700k processor
and i thinking about to buy the V-NAND SSD SM950 PRO but im not sure if i can run with PCIE_X16/X8_1 & PCIE_X8_2 on ,
because i run Crossfirex (2xR9 290) and i need both PCIE slots full operational (x8 x8)

My second question is..

Can i run via M.2 (NVMe?) To take all the advantages of SM950 PRO

Thanks.

So just wanted to point out on this - after reading the manual it does APPEAR that the M.2 and PCIE_X16/X8_1 can be used together, however I've had no luck. M.2 seems to be disabling PCIE_X16/X8_1 and in fact with M.2 plugged in and graphics card plugged into PCIE_X16/X8_1, so far has been unable to POST.

I agree. Not sure how they can advertise 300k iops and most are getting 150k. Either way it's early so I probably will be patient and see what happens with an update. The form factor is great and with a side case fan temps have not been an issue. I just wish this board had 2 m.2 sockets. The comparable msi and gigabyte boards both had 2. I have always had good performance out of Asus boards so I stuck with them.
