I am in the process of installing cables from the case to the motherboard and I to the point where it is calling for system panel connector for my power and reset button.
Should it have come with my motherboard because I can't find it anywhere? Or do I have to buy it separably?
I have a m8e.
Thanks

They're your cases power, reset, hdd led wires. You also will have a HD Audio cable. Look for the wires that say PWR, RES, HDD. They sould also have a + and - on them, look at your motherboard manual and plug each in how it says.
Your case should also have a motherboard speaker that plugs into the sam connector. The HD Audio goes on the lower left side of the motherboard. The other's go on the lower right side.

Yes those cables should come attached to your case, they never come with a motherboard, your motherboard does come with Q-connectors to make it much easier to attach the cables
All this information is in the manuals for your motherboard and case

Thanks for the response! The q connector is what I am missing.

You probably overlooked it. All the Maximus VIII motherboards come with the Q-Connector. 🙂

Are you sure the Q connector isn't in the motherboard box?

Take a look again in the accessories box it's a little white plastic piece with pins on it.

Even if the Q-connector is missing, you don't really need it. In fact I don't use the one that came with my board because it makes the connections stick out further from the board.

Thanks for those responses! I will try to do it manually then.
