Question regarding m8 hero...

Hi guys,

I'm thinking of getting the m8 hero, but a little concern with some of the issues I've read here especially to do with the sound/popping problem. Is it fair to say that this problem is not 100% due to the mb and its supreme fx chip, but a known problem of the z170?

I understand that not everyone is experiencing this problem, so to me it goes down to the combination of hardware/software installed.

Maybe start a thread with people system specs & settings that works?

I do like the specs of the m8 hero, but not willing to spend the cash when I've read so much issues ppl are facing...

Hope you guys can shed some light on question above.

M8H for a few months now. Sound pops on every startup and every now and again when the audio channels open. Apart from that, this board rocks, and the sound is great, but yes it is very annoying to hear that pop on startup. I wish someone from ASUS would elaborate on this further.
6700K, 1302 BIOS and I have all ASUS drivers installed with sonic and AI suit on WIN10. The rest of the HW is irrelevant for this sound pop issue. Since some people have the issue and some don't, I believe it would come down to a software problem. C'mon ASUS, take a bite at this and tell us where the problem comes from.
