Monitor turns on, motherboard power button lights up and the pci cables light on the asus strix, but other than that, no power.
if I do press the power button for the first time, the computer starts then turns off after a split second.

i double checked the RAM and made sure it was securely fit.

I want to play with the 1080 strix but i can't even go to BIOS 😞
anyone have any ideas? thanks.

Did you plug in the 8 pin power cable on the motherboard from the PSU? Its located on the upper left right behind the O/I panel. What PSU are you using?

I included a link with the build details and pictures.

Got it 850W good - did you plug in your 8 pin power plug?

yes I did, I've been double checking anything missing so far, nothing I can really think of..I made sure I didn't use the wrong pci e cables for 8 pin.

So the PSU is a modular it should be marked EPS12V according to the PSU manual.

DID you happen the setup the MOBO on the bench first before iinstalling it in the case? you may have a short. also double check the power and reset button cables.

So I swapped out the 28pin modded white cable with the default original cable and it boots into BIOS!! I do get a A9 code, and tried searching, but I'll update once I install windows and drivers and stuff. Thank you guys! I"ll keep this updated!
