NEed help with bluetooth not working in Windows 10 (Maximus formula VIII)

Hi there

I'm having a rather large issue getting Bluetooth to work in Windows 10. It simply doesn't work. I cannot find any bluetooth devices, and no bluetooth devices can find my computer.

Motherboard is new, and initially it worked fine, then one day just stopped, and nothing I did would fix it. I've formatted and reinstalled Windows 10, I've tried every single solution I can find online, and nothing makes this motherboard's bluetooth controller work.

Interestingly, I can plug a bluetooth bluetooth dongle in and everything works just fine, so it's definitely not a Windows problem as far as I can tell.

If anyone can point me in the right direction to fix this, that would be great.

Thanks!

I think that's exactly what happened, maybe rollback to previous drivers to see if it resolves the issue?

I tried installing the drivers from the asus website but I haven't been able to get my bluetooth to comeback. looking in device manager there isn't any unknown device or broken devices. Showing hidden devices shows my paired bluetooth devices but not the bluetooth device itself.

Windows pretty much thinks I don't have any bluetooth hardware on my system at all.

I am using a Maximus IX Code BIOS 0906
Windows 10 Home 1703 (OS Build 15063.447)
Bluetooth:
Qualcomm Atheros QCA61x4A / driver version 10.0.0.285
Bluetooth Devices:
BCM20703 Bluetooth 4.1 USB Device / driver version 12.0.1.1012

Often my bluetooth headset will just turn off and the system will say 'bluetooth disconnected' in Setting/Devices/Bluetooth, the toggle to turn it on or off will no longer be there and the only way I have found to get it to show up again is to shut the computer off, unplug it from wall power, then replug it in and reboot.

This happens without any warning (mid youtube video for example)

I just did a power cycle on my machine after reading the kavanavak's response and my bluetooth comes back if power is pullled from the machine. I normally only do restarts and shutdowns but not a power cycle. I will keep testing to see if I can get any more info.

There is no bluetooth device located in device Manager

Windows 10 Pro - Version 10.0.15063 Build 15063
Qualcomm Atheros QCA61x4A Wireless Network Adapter, Driver version - 12.0.0.297

If you need anymore information let me know.

Thanks for all the post, I was about to give up my bluetooth was missing and updating everything works well and now I was able to connect on my note 4 and to my doss soundbox touch I think the problem will be different from time to time but if everybody read this do install all necessary things first then updated it.

I have the same problem as well with my Maximus VIII Impact with Bluetooth. The Bluetooth will randomly die and the only thing that brings it back is a CMOS clear.
